Tony Head Headteacher

My name is Tony Head and I have been the Headteacher of Portswood Primary School since September 2016.

However, I had the pleasure of working at this school over a decade ago and was delighted that I had the opportunity to return as Headteacher.

The support and guidance that comes from working across the MAT is invaluable and I love the feeling of ‘family’ across the partnership. Both the school and I personally have benefited immensely from the depth and breadth of knowledge and support that is available. It has given me the confidence to make informed decisions that I feel are right for the school; ones that have allowed us to continue to strive for excellence for all of our children.
